As a future challenge, our department wants to find strategies to reach students, learn their priorities and interests, and encourage them to take action. We want to cover different learning styles so as to reach more students of different ages, interests and motivations, helping them develop and express themselves in this language.

Over the academic years we have taken on the challenge of showcasing our students' achievements. We have held activities such as festivals featuring music, voice and English-language songs. The students bring their performances to life and, besides practising English through singing, they share companionship and enthusiasm for the language.

During in-person classes, students have also taken part in activities run by the Ministry of Education's PIAP (English Opens Doors Programme), which seeks “to improve the level of English learned by students from fifth grade to the final year of secondary school, by defining national standards for learning English, a professional development strategy for teachers and support for English teachers in the classroom” (Decree 81). In this way our school creates networks and activities for our students to take part in, such as spelling bees and public speaking, where they show their English skills. Taking part has been very important, because they see the reality of other schools and take on the challenge of improving more and more to reach their goals. Internally, our school runs these activities across all classes, with different levels of vocabulary.
