The intercultural department places students at the centre, with a focus on interdisciplinary learning, the use of new technologies and the community as a source of knowledge and interaction, helping to strengthen students' sociocultural identity and meaningful learning connected to the territory.

This department develops each student's group and individual skills, which foster dialogue in the co-construction of knowledge and the mutual appreciation and understanding of diversity.

In this context it is very important to contribute to the social-emotional well-being of students, teachers and families. The department therefore holds the we txipantu and txafkintu activities, to preserve this bond and keep strengthening their cultural identity and belonging, developing interculturality in the classroom.

Finally, there are also other activities, for example:

• Field trips.
• Visits to the regional museum.
• Joint work with the other departments to achieve interdisciplinary learning.
