The Language Department is made up of specialists who work from first grade to the final year of secondary school. It focuses on developing and strengthening communication skills directly related to learning Spanish, as well as verbal and non-verbal expression, critical thinking and academic research, skills that will allow students to function in different social, work and academic settings.

Likewise, it is vital for the department to promote reading and creative activity in literature, as well as artistic expression that goes beyond the written word and draws on other disciplines such as the visual and audiovisual arts, music and theatre. The aim is to guide students' education in every area of their development, in a world that requires academic skills but increasingly values others, such as creativity to solve complex problems. For these reasons, activities during the year include Book Day, the arts and literature fair and, together with the Mathematics Department, the Language and Mathematics Knowledge Olympics.

The Mathematics Department is made up of three teachers who accompany students from first grade to the final year of secondary school (TP-HC). Our work focuses on helping students reach the objectives of the subject and on promoting logical and mathematical reasoning from the earliest levels.

Our work is broad: we value and respond to different learning paces and jointly look for strategies to develop the skills and competences students need to grow as people and meet the goals set for them. We also have the support of the Skills Workshop, which adapts our content for students with special educational needs and is one of the department's fundamental pillars.

Since 2020 we have been a Bicentennial school and, as such, the Mathematics Department's mission is to prepare our students from seventh grade to the third year of secondary school with the competences that allow us to keep the title of “School of Excellence”, improving our SIMCE results year after year. We complement this mission with constant support and preparation from the youngest levels.
