Closing 10 Years of Reconstruction

Colegio Bicentenario Adenauer has reached a significant milestone by completing its reconstruction after the 2014 disaster, with the opening of the new Adenauer Bicentennial Gymnasium. This achievement is the result of the joint effort of the school community, parents, students, the leadership team and the valuable support of partner institutions and foundations.

To commemorate this decade of work, two sports clinics were held in the new venue: a basketball clinic led by former professional player Michael Ernst Lizama, with a long career in Chile and abroad, and a football clinic with leading professionals from Deportes Temuco: captain and first-choice goalkeeper Yerko Urra, midfielder Byron Bustamante, goalkeeping coach Rodrigo Flores and fitness coach Boris Jara.

The day ended with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially opening the gym, followed by a reception where the school community shared and celebrated this important milestone.

The new gym not only symbolises the end of the reconstruction but also opens a new stage in the school's development, reaffirming its commitment to quality education and the growth of the municipality of Melipeuco.
