Science University Preparation

Studying degrees related to the Exact Sciences or Health requires a grounding in these areas, so the Science PAES assesses the knowledge of applicants to these programmes.

The Science PAES is one of the elective tests. It assesses learning from seventh grade to the second year of secondary school in natural sciences and scientific skills, specifically in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

It is made up of two modules, depending on the type of school you attended:

• Common module (MC). For all applicants.
• Elective module (ME). If you received an academic education.
• Technical-Vocational module (MT).

The Science PAES is an elective test, so not all applicants have to take it, only those seeking to enter degrees related to science, health or engineering.

Regardless of your elective test, the compulsory Mathematics and Reading Competence tests are requirements for entering any degree. That is why it is very important to plan your time to study all the topics you need.
