2021 Bicentennial Commitment Signing

An important Bicentennial commitment signing took place at our school last Wednesday. It was attended by the Mayor of Melipeuco, councillors, the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Education, the management and leadership team, and students and teachers of our Bicentennial school.

At this ceremony the school community committed to supporting the educational process at all levels and of each of its students. Below you will find an excerpt from the signed document:

 

2021 Bicentennial Commitment

Education is the result of the effort of the student, their family and the school community. Combining everyone's efforts is essential.

Bicentennial Schools have high expectations and are committed to developing challenging learning, with order, method and perseverance, focused on helping to improve the quality of education in the country.

These Bicentennial Commitments set out the different responsibilities undertaken by all members of the school community.

1. As students, we commit to being protagonists of our education, making the most of learning opportunities with effort and dedication.

2. As teachers, we commit to providing quality education to all students, guiding and motivating them to learn.

3. As education assistants, we commit to providing an environment conducive to learning.

4. The leadership team commits to supporting teachers, giving them feedback and guiding their teaching.

5. As parents and guardians, we commit to supporting our children by encouraging effort and dedication in their schoolwork and to getting involved in the school's educational project.

6. As principal, I commit to being an agent of change within the school community, focused on achieving learning.

7. As the school's legal owner, I commit to supporting the implementation of the Bicentennial project.

8. As Regional Ministerial Secretary of Education, I commit to supporting the school and helping to improve education in the country.

9. As Minister of Education, I commit to working for an education system focused on the classroom, school coexistence and the well-rounded education of students.

10. As President of the Republic, I commit to improving the quality of education at all levels and for all children and young people, promoting public policies that foster quality, trust and autonomy in our country's schools.

This important distinction was achieved thanks to the constant human effort of the school's leaders and the whole educational unit. It places our school among the 28 schools with the Bicentennial Excellence distinction in the Araucanía Region.
